PURPOSE

To inform you of missing South Dakota Certificates of Title.

DETAILS

On July 1, 2012, the State of South Dakota reported that ten boxes of blank certificates of title (version 12/10) were missing from their inventory.

The control numbers of the missing documents are:

1481000 – 1500999

The titles have a blue border on the front and a green background on the back. "DOR-MV-505 (12/10)" is printed on the front lower left corner, and the seven-digit "Control No." is printed in red on the lower right corner of the document. A sample title is attached for your review.

COUNTY ACTION

If you come in contact with anyone in possession of one of these documents or have information regarding these documents, please contact your local law enforcement agency or the Texas Department of Public Safety.
